Throughout the third quarter of 2023, the top consumer finance applications on the Android platform in Central America demonstrated significant activity in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Banco del Bienestar Móvil saw impressive growth in downloads, peaking at approximately 457K in the final week of September. The app's weekly downloads fluctuated, with notable spikes in early September, reaching about 305K. Active users also increased consistently, rising from around 1.3M at the start of the quarter to over 1.8M by the end of September.

BBVA México maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads ranging between 150K and 206K throughout Q3. The app's active user base was substantial, starting at approximately 7.9M and peaking at around 8.2M in late August. The app showed a steady trend in both downloads and active users across the quarter.

Banco Azteca experienced stable weekly downloads, consistently staying above 100K, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, peaking at about 123K. Active users showed a positive trend, growing from around 4.1M at the beginning of July to approximately 4.3M by the end of September.

Nubank: conta, cartão e mais also performed well, with weekly downloads generally hovering around 100K, peaking at approximately 110K mid-quarter. The app's active user base remained strong and grew steadily, starting at roughly 2M and reaching over 2.1M by the end of September.

Banorte Movil saw weekly downloads mostly in the range of 64K to 74K, with a peak of about 74K in mid-August. The active user base remained relatively stable, ranging from around 2.3M to 2.4M throughout the quarter.
